Yes while posting the pictures below remind me of my dad.
I'm a Cantonese. As you know Cantonese are quite a fussy eater, from ingredients to cleanliness of food. I'm not a true canton for sure, ok maybe a little...
In my home , my dad does the cooking and cleaning. Mom seldom. My dad would start boiling his soup from 2pm all the way to dinner time. Actually almost every meal we have soups. My dad can cook almost anything and everything. The super yummy black vinegar pig trotter, some pork eaten with raw cabbage(dun know the name), winter melon soup, sichuan vegetables with pork(okay that my mom dish). THe ever SPICY curry and Spiciest chili crab. But he will always have a side dish that have fried nugget or fish fillet, you know kids food. WHY? because sometime we just don't appreciate ADULT food. For example to me : the nasi lemak fish, chicken feet and etc...
Never mind about that, now there is a new member into the family. Guess WHo? Yes Babi Quek. He will gladly finish up the adult food.. whahah.. *evil grinz* He eats almost everything. He loves home cooked food. Since Young, his family doesn't cook at all. Maybe alittle but with Microwave or eat out. At least now he is trying to cook dinner. Of course it can't be compare to dad cooking...Maybe another 20 years. Jia you babi quek..
I LOVE DAD
Hmm, although we seldom talk. But i know deep down it is just another way of affectionate love. How do i know? Coz he secretly told my MOM that i never wished him Happy Birthday, which i did. HAHA. I wish Dad can fly here to cook for me.... haha. Self reflection abit too late right. Taking Dad for granted when i'm back home. Anyway home is just a call away.
End: Here a pic from my 70's style ROM
